Time ago porcelain fused metal crown was the only one way of aesthetic prosthesis. Their main disadvantage is in the reflection of diffused light because of that fact porcelain fused metal crowns look brighter than natural teeth.
 

One more disadvantage of metal-ceramic is a grey shade of marginous gum appearance.

Implants on prostodontics

Implants on prostodontics – is a separate area of prosthesis which requires special doctor’s knowledge. It is possible to manufacture single crowns and bridges on implants. Besides they can be an additional support even with a presence of your own teeth or they can withhold overdenture restoration. .

The advantage of implants is in the fact that there is no need to «sew around» healthy adjacent teeth for crowns.
